I took a visitor from North Carolina straight into the anime merch paradise—and they immediately got lost in the endless aisles of figures, keychains, and collectibles. Their eyes lit up at each new shelf, and by the end they'd accumulated more bags than expected. That's the Akihabara effect.
I guided @theadhdproducer and his son on an evening tour of Shibuya today! We started at the One Piece exhibition and the Mugiwara Store, then moved on to Nintendo TOKYO, where we spent a good while actually playing the games together. We wrapped up with a bowl of ramen and the night view over the Scramble Crossing from the rooftop. I guided @jdx_918 from the US in Akihabara today! It was raining, but we still had a great time. We looked around the figure shops in Radio Kaikan and Trader, visited the Gunpla store, and he bought a Super Sentai set. We finished the day at the Eorzea Cafe (the Final Fantasy XIV cafe) with a blue drink and themed food. Spent the day around Tokyo with two guests. Started at Tokyo Station, made custom portrait prints at a small gallery, went knife shopping in Kappabashi, took a slow walk through Yanaka Ginza, and finished with Pokemon sweets in Ikebukuro.
